No matter how much money you spend on remodeling, if you don’t consider your flooring and wall tiles, your bathroom may still look outdated. Make it a habit to clean your bathroom tiles to maintain your bathroom’s charm. Read on to learn how.
Similar to other components of your home, your bathroom tiles require active maintenance, too. To keep their appearance clan, mop or sponge the tiles with two tablespoons of all-purpose cleanser mixed into a gallon of warm water. For extra shine and glossy finish, use a microfiber cloth to wipe the tiles. For shower tiles and other dirt-prone areas, use the same solution but leave it for at least 15 minutes before wiping it with a damp sponge.
Using Natural Solutions
In attrition to using an all-purpose cleanser, you may also use baking soda and vinegar to clean your bathroom tiles. To refresh your shower area, sprinkling baking soda over the tiles and sweeping it away often does the trick. Heavily soiled areas, on the other hand, can benefit from a mixture of vinegar, ammonia, borate detergent and hot water. Remember to wear gloves as this solution can be harsh on delicate skin.
Cleaning the Grout
Grout tends to be grungy over time, so it makes perfect sense to clean it while washing your bathroom tiles. Create a natural paste using equal parts of tartar cream and lemon juice. Apply it using an old toothbrush and then scrub the grout. Rinse the area using a wet sponge. You can also mix baking soda, warm water and salt or purchase non-abrasive cleaners to clean the grout.
