Marvin Belkin and a business partner founded the original Handyman Connection in 1990 when they couldn't find craftsmen to do small repairs and remodeling jobs. Belkin did some research and found a definite void in the marketplace. These two successful, retired businessmen decided to fill the niche themselves.

Handyman Connection revolutionized the repair and remodeling industry by making affordable, professional craftsmen available to homeowners when they need them. After refining their system, Belkin and his partner awarded their first franchise in 1993 – creating a new industry. Today there are Handyman Connection franchises throughout the United States and Canada.
